The preliminary drive was to reduce the labour input into the process, but they also gained a sharp increase in output from the cell, with the robot now able to keep the machine running throughout the day.

The Fanuc R2000 robot was purchased second hand through Automation Solutions, and was integrated to the CNC lathe with the assistance of Complete CNC.
The robot operates with no external HMI or PLC, making a very low cost implementation with high ROI for the owners at Infinite Engineering.
